Gradually, with the turning of the season there came to be among women an ancient knowing and a deep longing. They recalled the voices of the Grandmothers. Remember yourself to one another – and Celebrate. These were the Women, makers of hearth and home, creators of beauty and joy, keepers of the light, who by their great love had remembered the People, but they had forgotten themselves. So when the soft sighs of summer gave way to the first chills of autumn, the women turned from their lives and travelled from all directions towards the center. Their faces etched with life’s deepest lines, the women’s flame had grown dim, but they remembered the source of kindling was the common fire in their Sacred Circle. Courageous and brave hearted, they came to share those parts worn and tired, to heal and enliven soul and spirit. Entrusting their grief to the prayers of time, these were the women who gathered, circle after circle; broad smiles and open arms, tears that turned to songs piercing the holy silence of too many dark nights, their dance, the heart beat, the first steps of forever more.
A true celebration involves the delicate weaving of all energies, the personal, the collective and the transpersonal. It is a creation that happens spontaneously and in the moment. As such, those tools and the exercises that we may do together cannot be determined. To all women interested in this celebration, come with open arms towards one another. Come with your wearied strength to give away and lift up; to engage with the extraordinary and celebrate. See you in September, when the soft sighs of summer give way to the crisp air of autumn…
